A subscription tracker that doesn't want your bank login.

Most finance apps grow by asking for more access. leakd grew by asking for less.

Why we built it

The "small recurring charge" model conquered software. Netflix, Spotify, Adobe, ChatGPT, Notion, your VPN, your cloud storage, your three different AI tools, your gym, your meditation app — every one of them costs less than dinner, and together they cost more than your car payment.

The existing tools that track this either (a) want your bank login, which is invasive and geographically limited, or (b) live on a server we'd have to trust with your spending data, which we shouldn't have to.

So we built leakd: you type in what you pay for, or drop a CSV from your bank — entirely in your browser, no upload, no account. Then it does the math, watches the calendar, and gives you a clean view of what's leaking.

What it isn't

Not a budgeting app. We don't categorise every coffee. We track recurring spend.
Not a Plaid wrapper. We don't connect to your bank, scrape transactions, or ask for OAuth.
Not an AI advisor. The "insights" are basic math — sums, averages, the cost over time. No black box.
Not a venture-backed growth machine. Built and maintained by one person. No analytics, no upsell ladder, no enterprise tier.
Not tax or accounting advice. The Business Expense Report helps you organize subscription costs, but it is for informational purposes only. Always verify figures with a qualified tax professional.

Indie maker, based in Hungary. Built leakd because the alternatives are either invasive, abandoned, or charge by the seat for what should be a simple personal tool.

Principles

Local storage by default. Your subscription list lives in your browser's localStorage. Nothing leaves your device unless you turn on a feature that needs the network — and even then it's end-to-end encrypted or minimum-data.
No bank access. Manual entry takes a few minutes once. CSV import takes 30 seconds. Bank tokens take a lifetime of risk.
Free for everyone. Every feature, $0, forever. No paywalls, no ads, no "Enterprise" upsell. Optional supporter tips (from $1.99) keep development going.
Portable, cancellable. Export to CSV / JSON / .ics anytime. If you cancel a supporter subscription, every feature keeps working and your data stays with you — nothing is gated.
